The Olympic Games, Olympics or, in a brief way, JJ. OO., they are sports multidisciplinary events in which there take part athletes of diverse parts of the world, in the former Greece they were dedicated to the god Zeus. Two types of Olympic Games exist: the Summer Olympic Games and the Winter Olympic Games, which are realized by an interval of four years. The organization in charge of the accomplishment of the same ones is the Olympian International Committee (for his abbreviation, COI).

The current Olympic Games inspired by those of the 8th century to. C organized by the former Greeks in Olimpia's city, between 776 B.C. and 393 A.D. In the 19th century, there arose the idea of realizing a few events similar to the organized ones in the Antiquity, which would make concrete principally thanks to the negotiations of the French noble Pierre Frèdy, Baron of Coubertin. The first edition of the so called Olympic Games of the Modern Age was realized in Athens, the capital of Greece. From that opportunity, the Summer Olympic Games have been realized every four years in diverse parts of the planet, being the only exceptions the editions of 1916, 1940 and 1944, due to the snap of the First World war and The Second World war.
